Milt Kahl : Medusa #2 from Disney's Rescuers.

Animation of Medusa from the Rescuers.  The Rescuers was released in 1977.  This was the last movie Milt worked on and is another great example of wonderful animation by the master.  You can see another test here that I posted earlier:

Always LOVED that these guys could get so much awesome lip-sync with very very few mouth shapes!

Great stuff. Just wish that whoever scanned the original scenes could have scanned the drawings on pegs ... there's a lot of extraneous jitter and weaving in some of those drawings that isn't there in the original animation.

But I'm grateful for any of this stuff , so thanks for posting.

Ah! Such good emotional transitions, like the shift from gleeful to outraged.

Kahl-you are tearing me apart with your talents!

AAWESOME! @Dave, i think back then you had to shoot tests in a bit of a rush, maybe without a tripod. Who knows, but the genius is still visible :D

Stuart - NO. "back then" they shot tests much more carefully , on large , sturdy camera rigs with peg bar registration systems. This isn't what it looked like in the original animation ... what we're seeing here are photocopies someone made from the original drawings in the Morgue and then those have been rescanned without being on pegs. That's why they are jittering.
